Professor Vincent Alexander
St. John's University School of Law
NY Practice / Evidence
Vince Alexander is the Charles M. Sparacio Professor of Law at St. John’s University, where he teaches Evidence, New York Practice and Civil Procedure.  He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Yale and his J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s.  He also has LL.M. and J.S.D. degrees from Columbia Law School.  His publications include a leading evidence treatise, Evidence in New York State and Federal Courts.  He is also a contributing author of McKinney’s Commentaries on the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules.  The students at St. John’s have named him “Professor of the Year” on six occasions, most recently in 2009.

Professor Edward Cheng

Evidence
Ed Cheng received his B.S.E. from Princeton University, his M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science and his J.D. from the Harvard Law School where he was the Articles, Book Reviews & Commentaries Chair of the Harvard Law Review. He currently teaches courses on Criminal Law, Evidence and Torts at Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining the Brooklyn faculty, he clerked for Judge Stephen F. Williams of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and he was the Searle Fellow at Northwestern University School of Law.

Professor Patrick Connors
Albany Law School
NY Practice / NY Professional Responsibility
Pat Connors teaches New York Practice, Legal Ethics, Professional Responsibility and Civil Procedure at Albany Law School. He received his B.A. from Georgetown University and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where he was an editor of the Law Review. He served as personal law clerk to Judge Richard D. Simons of the New York Court of Appeals, was a member of the litigation department at Hancock & Estabrook, LLP, in Syracuse, N.Y. and an adjunct professor at Syracuse University College of Law. Prof. Connors is the author of the McKinney’s Practice Commentaries for CPLR Article 31, Disclosure, the New York Lawyers’ Code of Professional Responsibility and the Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act.

Professor John Kip Cornwell

Criminal Procedure
Kip Cornwell is the Associate Dean for Curriculum and a professor at Seton Hall Law School where he teaches Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. He received his A.B., with honors, from Harvard University and his J.D. from Yale Law School where he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal. He clerked for the Honorable Mariana R. Pfaelzer of the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Honorable Dorothy W. Nelson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has been published in the areas of mental health law, criminal law and procedure and federal civil rights law.

Professor Larry Cunningham

Criminal Law
Larry Cunningham teaches New York Criminal Law at the St. John's University School of Law. He was a professor for three year at Texas Tech University School of Law where he taught criminal justice-related courses and directed a criminal litigation clinic. He has also taught as a visiting professor at Texas Western University School of Law and Stetson University College of Law and as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School. He received his B.S., summa cum laude, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.

Joe Tom Easley has been a professor at several law schools, including American University and the University of Virginia. He has also taught public health law at Yale Medical School. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Texas, where he was Managing Editor of the Texas Law Review. In addition, he has an M.PH from Yale.

Erica Fine, Esq.

Erica Fine is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and St. John’s University School of Law. She practiced Trusts and Estates law before joining BARBRI. During her tenure at BARBRI, she has lectured on Essay Writing and Wills and has tutored and counseled law students through the bar exam process. Along with Deans at law schools throughout the Northeast, she has developed and implemented numerous programs to foster academic achievement and bar exam success.

Professor Paula Franzese

Paula Franzese is the Peter W. Rodino Distinguished Professor of Law at Seton Hall, where she teaches Real Property. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College and her J.D. from Columbia Law School. She served as a law clerk to NJ Supreme Court Justice Alan B. Handler. She currently serves as the Chair of the State Ethics Commission in New Jersey. At Seton Hall, she is an unprecedented eight-time recipient of the Student Bar Association’s Professor of the Year Award and has been named Exemplary Teacher by the American Association for Higher Education.

Professor Richard Freer

Rich Freer is the Robert Howell Hall Professor of Law at Emory University where he teaches Business Associations, Civil Procedure and Federal Jurisdiction. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of California at San Diego and his J.D. from University of California at Los Angeles. At Emory, he has been named Professor of the Year seven times and has also received the triennial law school faculty excellence award and the University’s highest teaching award. He has co-authored two volumes of Moore’s Federal Practice and casebooks on Civil Procedure and Business Associations.

Carl Gillen earned both his undergraduate degree in Economics and Politics and his Law degree from the National University of Ireland in Galway. Professor Rafael Guzman

Ray Guzman teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Evidence at the University of Arkansas School of Law where he has received numerous awards for outstanding teaching. He has assisted applicants with bar exam preparation since 1975 and is considered a leading authority on the Multistate Bar Exam. He received his B.A. from the University of Dayton and his LL.B. from The George Washington University Law School.

Professor Tanya Hernandez

Tanya Hernandez teaches courses on Property, Trusts and Estates, Critical Race Theory, and Race and The Law at Fordham University School of Law. She received her B.A. from Brown University and her J.D. from Yale Law School. She has also taught at George Washington University, Rutgers University in Newark, St. John’s University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Puerto Rico and Brooklyn Law School. Her work in the area of comparative race relations has been published in numerous law reviews and journals.

Joseph Marino is the Director of the Academic Skills Program and a full-time Professor at New York Law School where he teaches New York Practice, Consolidated Legal Analyses and New York Law in National Perspectives. He is the director of continuing legal education for both the New York Criminal & Civil Courts Bar Association and for the Marino Institute for Continuing Legal Education (MICLE).

Professor Ruescher received his B.A. from Columbia College and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law where he was the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Professor Ruescher presently serves as co-advisor to the St. John's Moot Court Honor Society. He is the co-author of The Lawyer's Craft (Anderson Publishing Co. 2001), a first year legal writing text. He teaches Civil Procedure, Legal research and Writing, and Legal Writing - Advanced as well as a workshop series on academic Legal Writing.

Professor Roger Schechter

Roger Schechter is the William T. Fryer Research Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School, where he teaches Torts. He was a visiting professor at the University of Virginia and New York University Law Schools and an adjunct professor at Cardozo Law School. He has also served as an instructor at the AALS Training Program for new law teachers. He is a graduate of GW and the Harvard Law School. He has twice received GW Law School’s Distinguished Faculty Service Award and was awarded the Trachtenberg Prize for University Service.
