David Sanchez’s career is one that brings diversity to the team with strategy, consulting, finance and accounting experience. David spent the first years of his career at Grant Thornton LLP in the Transaction Advisory and Strategy group, focusing on consulting private equity investors, public companies and other privately held businesses on merger and acquisition strategy and due diligence. David also brings an entrepreneurial toolkit to the team having founded several start-ups early in his career.

Most recently, he served as the Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Aperture, a PE-backed portfolio company. David was hired as Vice President of Corporate Development for BARBRI in 2021 and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Global Strategy in 2023.

His current role at BARBRI includes managing the corporate development, function, which includes mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and setting global strategy across BARBRI.

David earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Additionally, he is a licensed CPA. In his spare time, David enjoys exploring the outdoors at the ranch or relaxing at the beach with his wife, Maiky, and their dog, Maggie.
