Welcome! Strafford is now BARBRI! The expert courses you know from the trusted global leader in legal education.
Description
Peer review, encompassing credentialing, privileging, corrective actions; governance, including membership, leadership selection, voting, committee activities; and hearings, appeals, and reporting requirements are all medical staff bylaws issues bedeviling healthcare lawyers and physician leaders.
Medical staff bylaws must comply with accreditation and CMS standards, NPDB requirements, and other federal mandates, in addition to state-specific regulations, creating technical challenges for medical staff and hospital attorneys.
This webinar will prepare healthcare counsel to advise and guide healthcare providers, medical staff, and hospitals working towards medical staff bylaws compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, NPDB requirements, and other applicable federal and state laws.
Listen as our bylaws expert Elizabeth Snelson reviews recent developments and implications for healthcare providers and medical staff operations and offers strategies for achieving compliant bylaws as well as implementing best practices. The webinar will feature sample bylaw provisions throughout.
