CPE stands for Continuing Professional Education.
Professionals in various fields — including CPAs and tax professionals — earn CPE credits by completing courses offered by accredited organizations that help them stay up to date on skills and learn about changes in their industry, such as new technologies or regulatory updates.
Yes. BARBRI is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Developed in 1990, the National Registry is a program offered by NASBA to recognize CPE program sponsors who provide continuing professional education programs in accordance with nationally recognized standards. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. To obtain CPE credits for a select BARBRI CPE On-Demand, you must view the entire on-demand event, answer the multiple choice review questions at the end of each course section (review questions are not graded but must be answered correctly to continue to the next course section), and pass the Final Exam with a score of 70% or better. If you do not pass the Final Exam, you may retake the exam until you pass.
CPE On-Demand courses must be completed within one year from date of enrollment.

IRS credit is available on Live and CPE On-Demand programs that cover federal taxation topics. To obtain Enrolled Agent (EA) or Return Preparer (RTRP) credit hours, you must include your PTIN on the certification form. We cannot report using your Enrolled Agent number.
Each attendee must purchase his/her own connection. Each person requesting CPE processing must be registered for a line (even those listening in a group) and pay an additional CPE processing fee.
To obtain CPE credits for a BARBRI live webinar while participating via a group, attendees must participate in the live event via a computer, have a proctor affirm participation by responding to verification prompts that are displayed throughout the program, and complete and submit back to BARBRI a proctor form. Submission of this form is required for BARBRI to process CPE for GROUP participation (in one room on one computer). Please contact customer service at 1-800-926-7926 to request a proctor form or to register additional people and reference your web order # from your receipt.
To obtain CPE credits for a BARBRI webinar, you must participate in the live event via a computer and affirm your participation by responding to verification prompts that are displayed throughout the program. Additionally, please confirm your participation by completing and submitting the Certification form after the webinar.
CPE credit processing must be pre-purchased before the program.

Our webinars are available as a online accessible CPE on-demand videos. All program formats include access to speaker handouts. BARBRI will provide one certificate of attendance per recording provided that you have satisfied all the conditions and your state has approved the course. We do not currently make on-demand recordings available for download.
On-Demand webinars are available with 24-48 hours following the live program or upon receipt of payment and can be accessed from your account for up to a year.
To access BARBRI's on-demand CPE webinars, just follow these simple steps:
1. Visit learn.barbri.com
2. Enter the account holder's email address and password (you will have the opportunity to set or reset your password if needed)
3. Your On-Demand programs will be listed in your Learner Dashboard (Learner Home page) under the heading "In Progress" or "Not Started" headings (depending on whether or not the course has been watched).
4. Select the course card and hit "Continue" to go to the course modules page.
5. When you are ready to listen or watch, click the "Launch" button to open the webinar window.
