Legal Education for
In-House Legal Teams
At BARBRI we support various organisations, public bodies and legal service providers with their legal training and SQE qualification needs. See how we can help you, wherever you are in the world.

How We Support Corporate, ALSP + Public Sector Clients
Budgets and headcount present an ongoing challenge for in-house legal teams looking to grow and nurture talent. Enter SQE. For a relatively low cost — particularly if undertaking training through the apprenticeship route — in-house teams can implement programmes to attract new talent, upskill existing talent, and retain that talent after qualification and beyond. We support in-house teams to develop strategic programmes that embed training at a time and pace suitable for your organisation.
Support a Trainee or Paralegal In-House
Our clients have been surprised at how little work it takes for them to support a trainee or paralegal in-house and support them through Qualifying Work Experience, and we can support and advise on the implementation and ongoing administration of training programmes.
The SQE addresses a base level of competency to practice, but currently offers no regulated replacement for LPC electives and the Professional Skills Course. At BARBRI we can support with a training needs analysis to identify any gaps in practice-specific legal knowledge and/or business skills, and we offer a range of supplemental skills courses to address this requirement.

The introduction of the new Professional SQE training path is a significant step forward for our future trainees and the firm. We are very pleased to be able to offer an innovative new route that will enable our trainees to earn as they learn, which ensures we can attract a wider pool of talent to the firm.…We are strong supporters of the O Shaped Lawyer initiative; and its focus on preparing solicitors to be an effective business partner has been key in our choice of model. Our clients are regularly asking for lawyers with commercial skillsand this ensures that our trainees will start their careers one step ahead.
We were very struck by BARBRI's overall offering for SQE provision, in particular, its ambition, dynamism and superlative use of technology, which aligns closely with our own ethos. Their pitch went above and beyond our expectations. But it was their position on, and commitment to, inclusion and diversity which really chimed with us. As a core pillar of the Firm's strategy, we know we want to go further, do better in this area - and BARBRI are going to help us to get where we want to be.
BARBRI really is being brilliantly visionary, innovative and proactive in creating and delivering opportunities to those seeking to enter the profession, in particular, those where obstacles might appear insurmountable. Linklaters is delighted to work with BARBRI and Breaking Barriers in relation to its support of refugee lawyers and anticipates working on other important projects going forward. Watch this space.
