More Time to Prepare Your Way
Bar prep asks a lot of you, and not everyone wants to fit it into the same four-month schedule. Extended Access gives you two additional months with your BARBRI Bar Review course, so you can start earlier and move at a pace that fits your life. Use the extra time to spread out your workload, revisit challenging subjects, build in more review and practice, or take a different approach if youʼre preparing for another attempt. You still get the same BARBRI course structure and resources, just with more time to make the most of them.
How Extended Access Works
Add two months to your course and begin preparing earlier.
-
1. Add Extended Access to an Eligible Course
Extended Access is available as a $999 add-on to BARBRI Premium, BARBRI Elite, and Firm Pass. It is included automatically with Extended U.S. Bar Prep and Firm Pass Plus. Extended Access is tied to an eligible BARBRI Bar Review course and is not sold as a standalone product.
-
2. Meet the Course Payment Requirement
Before Extended Access can begin, at least $1,000 must be paid toward your comprehensive bar prep purchase. You must also have a payment plan in place for any remaining course balance. Extended Access must be paid in full, but paying the $999 add-on price does not by itself unlock your course. Once you meet the $1,000 bar prep payment requirement, your six-month access window begins.
-
3. Start Two Months Earlier
Your Extended Access start date depends on when you’re taking the bar exam:
Preparing for the February exam?
Start August 15 instead of the standard October 15 course open date.Preparing for the July exam?
Start January 15 instead of the standard March 15 course open date. That gives you six months with your course instead of four.
Change How Bar Prep Feels
Extra time does not mean adding more to your plate. It means having more room to work through what is already there. With Extended Access, you can:
Work at a Steadier Pace
Spread your assignments across a longer timeline instead of fitting your preparation into a more compressed schedule.
Spend More Time Where You Need It
Return to challenging subjects, reinforce important concepts, and give yourself more opportunities to practice.
Build Bar Prep Around Your Life
Start earlier so work, school, family responsibilities, and other commitments do not have to compete with an already condensed study schedule.
Take a Different Approach to a Retake
If your previous preparation felt rushed, Extended Access gives you a longer runway to revisit difficult areas and prepare at a more sustainable pace.
The Most Frequently Asked Questions About Extended Access
Extended Access is a $999 add-on that extends an eligible BARBRI Bar Review course from four months of access to six. It lets you begin two months before the standard course open date.
More time can help you prepare at a steadier pace, balance bar prep with work or other responsibilities, and spend additional time on subjects that need attention. For retakers, it can also provide an opportunity to avoid another compressed study timeline and approach preparation differently.
For the February bar exam, Extended Access begins August 15 instead of the standard October 15 course open date. For the July bar exam, Extended Access begins January 15 instead of the standard March 15 course open date.
Extended Access can be added to BARBRI Premium, BARBRI Elite, and Firm Pass. It is included automatically with Extended U.S. Bar Prep and Firm Pass Plus. It is not available as a standalone product. You must have an eligible BARBRI Bar Review course.
Extended Access has a list price of $999 and must be paid in full.
Not necessarily. Before your course can open, you must have at least $1,000 paid toward your comprehensive bar prep purchase. You must also have a payment plan in place for any remaining Bar Prep balance. The $999 Extended Access payment does not count toward the $1,000 bar prep payment requirement.
Your Extended Access purchase will remain associated with your order, but your course will not open until at least $1,000 has been paid toward your comprehensive bar prep purchase and a payment plan is in place for the remaining balance. Your six-month access window begins when you meet those requirements, not when you purchase the add-on.
Yes. After at least $1,000 has been paid toward your comprehensive bar prep purchase, a payment plan can cover the remaining course balance. Extended Access itself must be paid in full.
Extended Access stays connected to the status of your BARBRI Bar Review order. If a missed payment causes you to lose access to your bar prep course, you will also lose Extended Access. Making up the payment restores access to both.
Extended Access stays in sync with your underlying bar prep order. If that order is canceled or transferred, the status of Extended Access updates with it.
No. Extended Access is only available with an eligible BARBRI Bar Review course and cannot be purchased as a standalone product.
