Carliss Chatman is an Associate Professor of Law at SMU Dedman School of Law, where she teaches courses on Contracts, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, and Ethics. With over a decade of experience in legal practice, Professor Chatman developed deep expertise in trial law, appellate litigation, arbitration, and mass torts, particularly in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and energy sectors. Her scholarship focuses on corporate personhood, ethics, and race in entrepreneurship and appears in prestigious law journals such as UCLA Law Review, Texas Law Review, SMU Law Review, and UC Irvine Law Review.
