Erwin Chemerinsky

Erwin Chemerinsky is the Dean of UC Berkeley School of Law and one of the most cited legal scholars in the United States. A preeminent authority on constitutional law, appellate litigation, and the First Amendment, Dean Chemerinsky has authored more than 200 law review articles and over a dozen books, including the widely used casebook Constitutional Law. He has argued multiple cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and frequently contributes to national legal discourse. Before joining Berkeley, he was the founding dean of UC Irvine School of Law. In 2017, National Jurist named him the most influential person in legal education.
