Dean Jeremy Counseller

Jeremy Counseller is the Dean and Abner V. McCall Chair of Evidence Law at Baylor Law School, where he has served on the faculty since 2003. A former law clerk to Judge Reynaldo Garza of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Professor Counseller later practiced law at Bracewell LLP and served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in McLennan County, Texas. His teaching and scholarship focus on evidence and civil litigation, and he is a frequent speaker on procedural issues across the state. Professor Counseller has been recognized multiple times for excellence in teaching and institutional leadership.
