Description

Class actions against insurance companies frequently assert policyholder claims challenging the manner in which insurance products were sold--including their cost--the way claims were handled, or both. Different certification and settlement issues and strategies may be more appropriate for these different categories of claims.

Property, title, auto, life, and casualty insurance products have all been the subject of class action claims. The increased use of algorithms in pricing and claim adjustment is often challenged, with plaintiffs seeking to discover what factors were used to set premiums or value losses.

Listen as our authoritative panel discusses current trends and case law developments impacting insurance-related class actions and offers strategies related to certification, discovery, and settlement.
