Description
Construction employers deal with unique workers' comp issues given the nature of the industry. In addition to dangerous working conditions, employers contend with other concerns that make the management of their workers' comp programs more difficult than the average employer.
For example, construction employers navigate complex worker relationships (e.g., employees vs. independent contractors, joint employment issues between general contractors and subs) that raise liability issues, possible third-party liability, insurance considerations unique to the industry, and heavy federal and state regulation.
Listen as our expert panel discusses the unique workers' comp considerations for construction industry employers. The panel will discuss regulatory and practical concerns and address potential litigation challenges. The panel will also offer best practices for mitigating risk and maintaining compliance.
