Employment Under the Second Trump Administration: Regulatory Updates; Compliance Challenges; Client Advisory Strategies

Anti-DEI Initiatives; ICE in the Workplace; Disparate Impact in Discrimination Claims; Agency Policy Changes

About the Course

Introduction

This CLE webinar will examine the impact that the first year of the second Trump administration has had on employment regulation and the resulting workplace compliance challenges. The panel will discuss the administration's policymaking priorities, key judicial decisions, regulatory changes, and what may continue to be expected from agency leadership and rulemaking moving forward.

Description

Employment regulation and policy have rapidly evolved during the second Trump administration. Key changes include anti-DEI initiatives, the drive to eliminate disparate impact liability in discrimination cases, the revocation of recent harassment guidance by the EEOC including protections for gender identity and sexual orientation, a strong immigration enforcement stance with ICE in the workplace, and an NLRB overhaul that will likely result in rulemaking to reverse labor policy created under the Biden administration.

With administration policies being challenged in the courts, employers are suffering regulatory whiplash as they attempt to remain compliant. Counsel must be up to date on the latest employment law developments to guide their clients through this evolving regulatory landscape.

Listen as our expert panel provides employment counsel with an update of the significant regulatory changes made in the employment arena during the first year of the second Trump administration. The panel will discuss what policy and regulatory changes may still be on the horizon and address strategies for helping clients remain compliant.
