This CLE webinar will provide new environmental attorneys with an overview of environmental litigation, helping them understand the complexities of environmental law to better represent their clients. The program will cover key litigation strategies, regulatory frameworks, and common challenges in environmental cases.
Faculty

Mr. Brown’s practice focuses on environmental litigation, environmental regulation, product liability, toxic torts, ESG, and transactional due diligence. He represents clients throughout the full lifecycle of complex environmental and products liability litigations and regulatory matters. He has extensive experience addressing litigation and regulatory matters involving natural resource damages, contaminated sediments, and emerging chemicals of concern, particularly per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Mr. Brown has successfully defended claims in numerous federal and state courts across the country and also regularly counsels buyers, sellers, lenders, and underwriters on the full spectrum of environmental issues that may affect transactions.

Ms. Gilleran's practice spans a diverse range of permitting, compliance, enforcement, and litigation matters arising under state and federal environmental laws, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. She has extensive experience counseling public and private clients on environmental review under CEQA and NEPA, participating in land use-related administrative proceedings and appeals, and litigating in state and federal court.
