Description

Rideshare drivers must simultaneously drive and use smartphone apps for directions and customer information while navigating frequently unfamiliar areas, which may increase the likelihood of auto accidents. This webinar will provide information about potential avenues for recovery and updates on relevant case law. In addition to traditional rideshare scenarios, delivery services and automated ride services are prevalent in the marketplace.

Passengers, pedestrians, and drivers injured in an auto accident caused by a rideshare driver may pursue compensation for their injuries, including from the driver's insurance, the rideshare company's insurance, and potentially other applicable sources.

Personal injury claims involving rideshare services present unique liability issues relating to the use of the ridesharing app and relationship between the potential parties.

Listen as our plaintiff and defense counsel panel examines the unique issues attorneys face in bringing or defending claims for injuries sustained in accidents caused by rideshare drivers. The panel will discuss how to prove or challenge liability and under what circumstances the rideshare company versus a driver’s personal insurance policy would be called upon to respond.
