Welcome! Strafford is now BARBRI! The expert courses you know from the trusted global leader in legal education.
Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) has made significant changes to the rules and regulations governing SSDI cases. These changes have made it more difficult for attorneys representing SSDI claimants to manage cases and evaluate claims. Attorneys must understand all available tools and techniques for SSDI claims and methods to ensure Medicaid and VA benefits in conjunction with SSDI.
Eligibility requirements for SSDI are precise. Assessments and hearings require a complete understanding of how a disability is defined, available sources of authority, retroactivity, and tools for estimating benefits. Also, acquiring SSDI benefits may limit or deny Medicaid and VA benefits unless specific steps are taken based on state law and available programs.
Listen as our panel discusses techniques in mastering the Social Security disability assessment and hearing process and coordinating SSDI with Medicaid and VA benefits.
