Description

To best serve their clients, attorneys involved in litigation and claims resolution need to understand when and why to recommend a structured settlement annuity. They then must be able to navigate the process of quoting and issuing structured annuities.

Among other things, this process will require attorneys to evaluate Medicare Set-Aside allocations and understand how to fund them using annuities, address payment of attorneys fees, and understand how to incorporate attorney fee deferrals into the settlement process. In some cases, it is advisable to apply structured settlements in Special Needs Trusts and for minors/incapacitated adults.

Listen as this outstanding panel of financial and legal experts shares insights and guidance for attorneys negotiating structured settlements in the context of complex claims.
