Mr. Fagin focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution, and strategic intellectual property counseling. Mr. Fagin is experienced in both procuring patents and addressing patent-related litigation matters. He has a well-established record of success before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, frequently obtaining allowance of patent applications at the examiner level without the need for appeals. Mr. Fagin draws on this experience to help clients strengthen their competitive positions and enhance company value through the acquisition and use of intellectual property rights.

Mr. Hawthorne focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction, real estate, landlord-tenant disputes, and business torts. With more than 30 years of experience handling complex disputes in state and federal courts and in arbitration, he has a deep understanding of the legal issues that arise in property and construction-related conflicts. Mr. Hawthorne represents both plaintiffs and defendants and has served as first chair trial and arbitration counsel for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to sole proprietorships and individuals. He is especially well-versed in landlord/tenant law and has frequently presented on the subject. In addition to real estate and construction litigation, Mr. Hawthorne has extensive experience with insurance defense matters, including mass tort and products liability involving pharmaceutical and medical devices. He has also handled TCPA class actions, aviation cases, probate litigation, and eminent domain cases.

Mr. Taber regularly advises clients on environmental law, aviation and airport development law matters, corporate legal issues, complex litigation, and intellectual property law. He brings a wealth of knowledge to these seemingly disparate areas of practice through his experience as a government attorney, in-house counsel, and an attorney in private practice. Mr. Taber has experience in both regulatory and litigation aspects of environmental law. Prior to joining Leech Tishman, he served as Owner of Taber Law Group, P.C., where he advised clients in matters arising under the National Environmental Policy Act, the California Environmental Quality Act, the Federal Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Toxic Substances Control Act, as well as the emerging regulations and statutes concerning climate change.
