Quimbee Study Aids

Nathan Benedict is a senior staff author at Quimbee. Prior to joining Quimbee, he worked as a public defender in several jurisdictions in Arizona. He received his law degree from the University of Arizona, where he was an articles editor for the Arizona Law Review. His student note was published and received the Snell and Wilmer award for best second year note. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Irvine, where he studied history. 

As a senior staff author, Nathan has authored subject-matter outlines and video courses in several subjects, as well as hundreds of case brief videos and over 1,900 multiple-choice questions.

Emily Carter is a staff author at Quimbee. Before joining Quimbee, Emily served for nearly 8 years as an adjunct professor and director of academic success at the Concordia University School of Law. 

As a Content Lead at Quimbee, Emily’s focus has been on curriculum development and exam skills content. Emily has also authored hundreds of case brief videos and dozens of videos on exam strategy.

Sean Carroll is the Senior Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Comcast, where he leads engagement with state regulatory agencies and key external stakeholders.  Prior to joining Comcast, Sean held several leadership roles at the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Cable, culminating in his tenure as General Counsel. 

Sean is the author of a staggering 4,384 case briefs, making him the all-time world-record holder for the highest number of Quimbee case briefs ever written.

Julie Leichtman is a senior staff author at Quimbee. A licensed attorney, Julie taught legal writing and a variety of intellectual property courses at Loyola University Chicago School of Law for seven years. Prior to teaching at Loyola, Julie was a litigator at the intellectual property boutique Brinks, Gilson & Lione (now part of Crowell & Moring). 

As a senior staff author at Quimbee, Julie has authored subject-matter outlines and video courses in numerous subjects, including over 2,500 multiple-choice questions.

Samir Parikh is a professor of law at Wake Forest School of Law and the editor-in-chief of Bloomberg Law Bankruptcy Treatise. He is also a 2018-19 Fulbright Schuman Scholar and was a visiting professor of law at Oxford University. His research and writing focus on various bankruptcy and commercial-law issues. Prior to joining the faculty at Wake Forest, Professor Parikh practiced complex financial restructuring at Latham & Watkins and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. 

Valentine is an instructional designer at Quimbee. Valentine's responsibility is to visualize complex legal issues and represent them in a way that anyone can understand. Valentine earned an MBA at the University of New Hampshire, while at the same time taking graphic-design classes at the New England School of Art and Design. Before joining Quimbee, Valentine worked as a multimedia producer and led design teams focused on institutional sales pitches for investment advisors.  

As Quimbee’s lead instructional designer, Valentine has done instructional design work on over 2,300 Quimbee videos.

Nick Quesenberry is a senior staff author at Quimbee. Before joining Quimbee, Nick was an associate with Green & Sklarz, LLC, of New Haven, Connecticut, where his practice focused on taxpayer representation, bankruptcy, and civil and commercial litigation. Before joining Green & Sklarz, Nick was a judicial law clerk for Judges Dorothy T. Eisenberg and Louis A. Scarcella of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. 

As Quimbee’s longest-serving senior staff author, Nick was involved in the creation and development of Quimbee’s earliest products and initiatives. Nick has authored 12 subject-matter outlines and currently holds the record for Quimbee’s longest individual piece of content: his bankruptcy outline clocks in at over 600 pages.

Abby Roughton is a Content Lead at Quimbee. Prior to joining Quimbee, Abby worked as a litigation associate at law firms in New York and New Jersey and as an independent contractor providing freelance research and writing services to attorneys and law firms. She also clerked for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Connecticut Appellate Court. 

Abby received her law degree from Cornell Law School, where she was lead notes editor for the Cornell International Law Journal, an editor for the Cornell Law Review, and a teaching assistant for 1L legal research and writing. Abby received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied history. 

As a Content Lead at Quimbee, Abby’s focus has been on managing and improving the quality of Quimbee study aids content. Abby has additionally authored over 1,100 case briefs and hundreds of case brief videos.
