We’re excited to share that Strafford is transitioning to BARBRI in the coming weeks.

Look for a whole new website, new capabilities, and new content all with the same programming you have come to rely on from Strafford. This change is part of our continued commitment to providing attorneys and tax professionals with premium CLE and CPE programming and a seamless learning experience.

Here's What You can Expect:

  • Same high-quality CLE and CPE content, produced by the same team and with the same firm leaders, now delivered through the BARBRI platform.
  • Enrolled "live" courses will still be accessible via the URLs received in your emails and nested within your calendar invites.
  • All your past transactions and course history will move with you — nothing will be lost.
  • When transitioned, pass holders and subscribers will have access through BARBRI.com, with no interruption in service.

We’ll keep you informed every step of the way and make the transition as smooth as possible.

Stay tuned for more updates — and thank you for being part of the Strafford community. We look forward to continuing to support your CLE and CPE needs at BARBRI.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Why are you switching to a new system?

A: BARBRI has invested in a modern learning platform that goes beyond webinars to deliver new types of content. It also improves administrative processes and addresses user feedback, such as offering a better search engine. This upgrade enables us to grow and better meet the needs of all professional legal learners.

Will the links to access an upcoming live webinar I registered for on Straffordpub.com still work? Will this change how I access those programs?

Yes, the links to access any upcoming live webinars you registered for will continue to work as they do now. You can use the links in your enrollment confirmation email or calendar reminder to join your sessions.

For now, your in-progress or future programs will not be moved to the new platform. That transition will happen a few weeks later, and we will notify you once the change is made.

Q: Will current login credentials (username and password) work for this new site?

A: Your username will remain the same—it’s the email address linked to your current account. However, you’ll need to create a new password during the registration process for the new site. You can choose to use your old password or set a different one.

Will my program certificates be available on the new site?

Not immediately, but they will be in the future. Once historical data is transferred, both your past course certificates and future ones will be accessible in the new system. You’ll find them in the “Achievements” section under "My Learning" in the top navigation.

Q: Will my old on-demand courses from the current Strafford system be available in the new system?

A: Yes, but not right away. After historical data is transferred, your previously enrolled courses from the past three years will be accessible in the new system. You’ll find them on your Learner Dashboard under “In Progress,” which can be accessed via the "My Learning" link in the global navigation.

Q: If we are a “Seat” firm, will courses taken on the new site count toward our seat totals?

A: Yes, any course taken on the new site will count toward your seat total. Administrators can now track completed courses using the Administration Tools. Recent activity can be viewed on the Administrator Dashboard or through the “People” report available in the Reporting Dashboard.

Q: Will I get confirmation emails when I register for courses?

A: Yes, you will receive a confirmation email for every course you register for, whether it’s Live or On-Demand. For Live courses, the email will include links to access the course and a calendar invite with those same access links for the live broadcast.

Q: If we are a “Seat” firm, can our end users self-enroll in courses?

A: Yes, your users will be able to self-enroll in courses. Additionally, administrators can assign courses to users using the “Assign Content” feature in the Administrator navigation section (located under Global Library). Assigned users will receive email notifications about their course assignments.

Q: Will I be able to add or remove users from our account using this tool?

A: This functionality is not available at this time. Until it’s built, you’ll need to contact our support team to add or remove users from the service.

Q: When will the full transition happen, and how will we be notified?

A: The transition will occur after the June 30th compliance reporting deadline. As that date approaches, you’ll receive detailed information about the transition, including registration instructions, demonstrations, and access details. Firms can also expect to hear from their account manager in the coming weeks with further updates.

Q: Will the catalog and course offerings stay the same?

A: Yes, the catalog currently available on the Straffordpub.com website will also be accessible on our new site. Additionally, we’ll soon expand the offerings to include content from other parts of the BARBRI for Professionals business, such as SkillBurst, ACEDS, and more.

Q: What training resources will be available to help us navigate the new system?

A: We will provide you and your learners with materials to support a smooth transition to the new system. These resources will include guides on new features and site navigation. Additionally, we can arrange a walk-through of the new system with support from BARBRI and your account manager.

Q: Will there be a dedicated support team to assist during the transition?

A: Yes, our customer service team is fully trained on the new system and ready to assist with anything you need. Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition, while maintaining your access to our high-quality CPE and CLE courses.
