You have invested years of your life, countless sleepless nights, and significant financial resources into your legal education. Now, you face the final hurdle: the bar exam.
At BARBRI, we believe your focus should be on mastering the law to pass the bar, not worrying about how to pay for your materials. That’s why we offer a robust suite of funding options designed to meet you where you are. From bar prep scholarships to flexible payment plans, we are committed to helping you cross the finish line without having to compromise your bar exam preparation.
BARBRI Bar Review Scholarships for World-Changers
You are entering a profession that shapes society, and we are dedicated to supporting students who demonstrate a commitment to public interest and service.
Each year, BARBRI gives back around $4.5 million in scholarships to public interest students and other world-changers. We put our money where our mission is because we know that your success contributes to a more just legal system.
If you are pursuing a career in public interest law, you may be eligible for financial support. A limited number of public interest scholarships are available for select BARBRI Bar Review courses. Bar prep scholarships can significantly reduce the financial burden of this critical season. We encourage you to see if you qualify by applying today.
Flexible Tuition Financing on Your Terms
If scholarships do not cover your full tuition, or if you do not qualify, you still have options. When you are self-paying for your course—you are not invoicing a firm or third party—you generally have two paths: long-term financing or short-term installments.
Finance with Affirm
Many students prefer the flexibility of spreading payments over a longer period. Through our partnership with Affirm, you can finance your tuition with manageable monthly payments.
This option offers transparency and control. You can check your eligibility during enrollment without affecting your credit score. Based on the tuition type you choose and a credit check, you will be offered specific rate and term options.
Here’s How It Works:
- Terms: You can typically choose to split your purchase into 3, 6, or 12 monthly payments.
- Rates: Rates range from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit.
- Real-Time Decisions: You provide basic information and get an immediate decision.
If you choose to finance with Affirm during enrollment, you have flexibility. You can include any required down payments in your loan, or you can make the minimum required payment at enrollment and finance the remainder later. You begin making payments to Affirm immediately, but the entire balance does not need to be paid off before your course begins. This allows you to study now and pay over time.

Create a Custom Installment Plan
Perhaps you prefer to avoid loans and interest rates entirely. We understand that. That is why we offer the custom installment BARBRI payment plan.
This is not a loan. No credit check is required. Most importantly, there is no interest applied to this plan.
The Process is Straightforward:
- Pay your initial required down payment (amount depends on your selected course).
- Split the remaining tuition into payments over time.
- Make payments using a debit or credit card.
Unlike the Affirm option, if you choose the custom installment plan, your total tuition must be paid in full per the payment deadlines prior to the beginning of your BARBRI Bar Review course. This is an excellent strategy for students who want to be debt-free by the time they start studying.
Bill Your Firm, Pay Nothing Up Front
Have you secured a position with a firm? You may not need to pay a dime out of pocket.
When you enroll in BARBRI Bar Review and provide the firm you would like us to direct bill, no initial payment or deposit is required. We handle the invoicing so you can handle the studying.
There is a significant strategic advantage to doing this early. Once you enroll and designate your firm for billing, you can immediately take advantage of exclusive resources like BARBRI 2L/3L Exam Success. Why wait to start building your competitive edge?

Secure Course Tuition with No Contract or Commitment
We know plans change. You might be worried about committing to a course months in advance. What if your jurisdiction changes? What if you decide on a different path?
We have removed the risk. No contract or commitment is required when you enroll in a BARBRI Bar Review course. If you decide BARBRI is not the best option for you, you may cancel any time prior to receiving online access to your bar review course or receiving physical course materials—whichever comes first.
What this means is that you can—and should—enroll early. Secure your course tuition by simply making the minimum down payment or selecting an employer to bill. By securing your spot early, you get a head start on your preparation with zero risk.
Discounts for Returning Alumni
If you have previously taken a BARBRI Bar Review course and now find yourself needing to take another state bar exam, you should not have to pay full price.
We offer exclusive discounts for our alumni. Whether you are moving to a new jurisdiction or expanding your practice, we are here to ensure your second bar exam is as successful as your first.
