The legal profession demands focus, precision, and resilience. But the pace and pressure of practice can also make it difficult to prioritize mental health and well-being.
That’s why BARBRI is proud to support Well-Being Week in Law (May 4–8, 2026), an initiative led by the Institute for Well-Being in Law (IWIL) and observed during Mental Health Awareness Month. The week serves as a collective call to action for individuals, firms, organizations, and law schools to build healthier, more sustainable ways of working.
At BARBRI, well-being is not a side conversation. It is foundational to professional competence, ethical practice, and long-term success—and our resources reflect that belief.
Why Well-Being Matters in the Legal Profession
Law is intellectually demanding and emotionally rigorous. Research continues to show that attorneys and legal professionals face elevated risks of stress, anxiety, depression, and substance misuse compared to many other professions.
Prioritizing well-being is not simply a personal matter—it directly affects decision-making, client service, professional relationships, and retention across the industry. When legal professionals are supported, resilient, and connected, the entire profession benefits.
Well-Being Week in Law highlights practical, realistic ways to embed wellness into daily professional life—not as an abstract ideal, but as an operational necessity.
