1) When does the BARBRI Extended U.S. Bar Prep course start? How long is it? How much time should I plan to study?

Your full BARBRI Extended U.S. Bar Prep Personal Study Plan (PSP) will be available on the course start date, which varies based on the course duration you select and the bar exam for which you are studying (February or July).

The course lasts 6 or 10 months. You should expect to spend, on average, between 20-25 hours per week for the 6-month course or 10-15 hours per week for the 10-month course. Each week, you may study the specific days, hours per day and time of day that work best for your schedule. Our course offers the utmost in personalization to meet your unique learning needs and lifestyle.

Upon enrollment in Extended U.S. Bar Prep and payment of all course fees, you will have access to the Foundations in U.S. Law pre-course, which provides the basic building blocks in the areas of U.S. law you will be studying in the main course. This is particularly beneficial to students who have not completed their law education in the U.S. Once your Extended U.S. Bar prep course starts, you will be able to see all assignments available to you for the entire course.

2) Is the course schedule flexible?

Extended U.S. Bar Prep is very flexible and allows you to learn when and where you study best over the 6- or 10-month duration during which the course is assigning work. Whether you are an early bird or a night owl, the course is ready to go when you are — thanks to your BARBRI Personal Study Plan (PSP) that adjusts to you as you work.

Your PSP is driven by an engine called ISAAC, your Intuitive Study Assistant And Coach, that knows what is most likely to be tested on the bar exam (what’s most important) and it gets to know you. If you spend less time studying one day, ISAAC adjusts your PSP and reassigns recommended assignments to ensure you are always focused on the most impactful assignments to get you the most points on your bar exam. 3) Can I do my course entirely online?

You can complete 100% of your Extended U.S. Bar Prep course online anywhere in the world, as long as you have a strong, stable internet connection.

You may wish to attend extra live, online study skill workshops provided by the BARBRI mentor team. The workshops are repeated a few times to cater to different time zones. You will have access to all of BARBRI’s well-designed and exam-driven lectures and materials.

4) If I choose to attend extra course workshops, do I still have full access to all course assignments online?

You will receive the same efficient and effective lectures and content delivered by renowned U.S. law professors without losing access to your course assignments. 5) What happens if I do not pass the bar exam?

Sometimes you need a second chance. If you take a BARBRI Extended U.S. Bar Prep course for the first time for a particular state and you do not pass that state’s bar exam, you may retake the same course online once for the same state the next time the course is offered without paying additional tuition. We call this our Extended U.S. Bar Prep Guarantee. To enroll, simply fill out a Guarantee enrollment form

Your Guarantee course is available for a course starting within 12 months of receiving your results and does not include any upgrades, including supplemental workshops or a second set of books. If you wish to purchase a new set of books for your Guarantee course, you can do this for $295 including shipping.
