BARBRI x Legal Cheek Essay Competition SQE Scholarship Application Form
The role of the lawyer in our modern world is shifting. Changes both within and beyond the legal industry are shaping up a new kind of solicitor. Submit an essay on the topic of the 21st century solicitor for a chance to receive a half-price SQE1 Prep scholarship from BARBRI.
How can I qualify for a BARBRI x Legal Cheek Essay Competition SQE Scholarship?
For a chance to secure the BARBRI x Legal Cheek SQE Scholarship, students should submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words (not including any references) on the subject “What is the role of a solicitor in the 21st century?”. The successful candidate will receive a 50% discount on their BARBRI SQE1 Prep fees for their chosen course preparing for January or July 2024 SQE1 exams.
Please note that to be eligible, you must be in your final year of university or a graduate and ready to take the SQE, joining only the applicable courses outlined below. You also need to register and attend the Legal Cheek virtual event on the 25th October on QWE. You can sign up for it here.

- Register and attend the Legal Cheek virtual event on the 25th October 2023 here.
- Fill in the form on this page with your essay submission by 31st October 2023.
- You will hear back from us by the 21st November 2023 with the result.
- If you are successful, you will receive a unique coupon code to add to your enrolment form which will adjust your SQE1 fees by the awarded amount.
